Pre-Licensed Mental Health Therapist Join Fernbrook Family Center as a Pre-Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Rochester, MN. Our program supports single mothers and their children through a two-generation approach, offering affordable housing, life skills education, early childhood education, and career‑track college support. What You’ll Do As a clinician at Fernbrook, you’ll provide therapy and skill‑building support in classrooms and outside, coordinating with the Jeremiah Program staff and other providers.

Work directly in daycare classrooms to support young children navigating emotional or behavioral challenges.

Provide individual and family‑based services outside of the classroom setting when needed.

Build strong, collaborative relationships with Jeremiah Program staff to ensure coordinated, trauma‑informed care aligned with classroom goals and family needs.

Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and/or skills services.

Conduct diagnostic assessments.

Collaborate with other providers and Fernbrook staff.

Stay current with required continuing education.

Apply evidence‑informed, trauma‑sensitive strategies to meet client needs in a respectful and professional manner.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services.

Meet expected productivity standards while ensuring quality of care.

Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

Uphold and model Fernbrook’s mission, values, and policies.

Perform other duties as assigned to support program and client success.

Adopt a natural connector mindset, thriving in collaborative environments and supporting families with holistic, compassionate, and culturally responsive approaches.

Requirements

Master’s degree (or currently enrolled) in a mental health field.

Eligible for or pursuing licensure (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP).

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance for community‑based work.

Must pass a DHS background check.

Preferred

Experience working with diverse populations.

Bilingual skills.

Schedule + Compensation

Flexible hours between 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Salaried staff: Expected 40–43 hours/week.

Hourly staff: Up to 40 hours/week (with prior approval for overtime).

Travel to various community locations required.

Telehealth/remote options available for certain tasks when applicable.
