Position: Accounting Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55402 (Hybrid)
Duration: 4+ Months
Pay Range: $20/hr - $29/hour without benefits (Pay rate varies based on experience)
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation & Accounting Operations Specialist to join our Corporate Functions team. In this role, you will process high-volume financial transactions, maintain ledgers, complete monthly reconciliations, and ensure accuracy across multiple accounts. You’ll research discrepancies, make corrections, clear aging items, and prepare routine financial reports. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and reconciliation tools.
The ideal candidate brings experience in accounting operations, accounts payable, journal entries, or financial transaction processing, and can manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Process, verify, and reconcile financial transactions (AP, journal vouchers, invoices, reimbursements).
Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations within required timelines.
Research and resolve discrepancies; make adjustments as needed.
Maintain accurate ledgers, statements, and financial documents.
Run and prepare routine financial reports.
Manually match and clear high-volume items (up to 2,000 per shift).
Communicate with internal business partners via email when needed.
What We’re Looking For
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
Experience with reconciliation tools (Enterprise Recon preferred).
Hybrid schedule (Tues–Thurs in office).
No phone or customer-facing work.
Collaborative team of 16 within Corporate Functions.
Contract role with possible extension.
