Our goal EMPTY CAGES. FOREVER HOMES.
Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Our mission is to protect and care for homeless and unwanted animals by providing medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption within a safe, no-kill environment.
We are committed to fighting animal cruelty, educating the public on responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter, and basic animal care, and supporting the rehabilitation of wildlife.
We have only just begun — and we need your support.
Our vision is bold to build California’s first fully solar-powered, 65-acre no-kill sanctuary, serving as overflow for city and county shelters while assisting traditional rescues with critical medical care and foster programs.
We are currently fundraising to purchase land and build safe, permanent homes where animals can heal, thrive, and live in healthy surroundings until they are adopted. This sanctuary will protect vulnerable lives and give every animal the chance to reach their full potential.
Together, we can turn empty cages into forever homes.
From seasoned professionals to fearless go-getters — all experience levels are welcome.
We embrace individuals at every stage who are ready to take on meaningful fundraising projects.
Typical Responsibilities
Organizing and supporting traditional fundraising efforts such as sponsored or promotional events, raffles, house‑to‑house outreach, and street collections
Recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers
Assisting with planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising activities
At an advanced level, Development Coordinators are responsible for leading fundraising initiatives from concept to completion. This includes developing fundraising plans, solving logistical challenges, and collaborating across teams and departments to ensure success.
We encourage creativity and welcome new fundraising ideas — innovation is not just allowed, it’s valued.
No matter your level, if you can donate as little as 5 hours a week making phone calls or commit to managing full projects on a set schedule, we want to hear from YOU.
Your time, ideas, and energy can make a real impact.
