Our vision is to build California’s first fully solar‑powered, 65‑acre no‑kill sanctuary, serving as overflow for city and county shelters while assisting traditional rescues with critical medical care and foster programs. We are currently fundraising to purchase land and build safe, permanent homes where animals can heal, thrive, and live in healthy surroundings until they are adopted.
Responsibilities
Research and identify potential partners, sponsors, and donors aligned with FFAS’s mission
Develop and pitch partnership proposals to potential partners
Cultivate and manage relationships with partners, sponsors, and donors
Support the fundraising team in planning events, fundraisers, and campaigns
Plan and execute joint marketing campaigns, outreach events, or community programs with partners to raise awareness of the sanctuary’s mission
Ensure that all partnerships align with the sanctuary’s values, ethics, and mission to protect and care for animals
Ensure smooth execution of partner‑led programs, offering resources, guidance, and support as needed
Qualifications
Can be a current student working toward a degree
Passion for non‑profit work and animal welfare
Experience in fundraising or partnership development is a plus
Ability to cultivate and manage relationships
Familiarity with fundraising‑corporate giving, grants, and in‑kind donations
Self‑motivated and organized – able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
A genuine passion for animal rescue and dedication to our animals and the sanctuary’s mission
Training
Volunteer Orientation
Familiarity with FFAS’s current business and goals
Comprehensive knowledge of FFAS’s Volunteer Manual
