Lead a team of Immunization Program Specialists that plans, directs and implements site visits to assess VFC program compliance or vaccination coverage rates at VFC/VFA enrolled sites and schools/child care facilities. Serve as the primary contact for CDC Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers program, complete reporting, documentation, and data collection, and provide technical assistance and education for internal and external immunization staff. Job Duties: Plan, direct, and implement site visits that assess VFC program compliance with VFC (VFA) enrolled sites. Lead a team of Immunization Program Specialists in implementing immunization assessment and quality improvement activities at VFC (VFA) enrolled sites and schools/child care facilities. Provide technical assistance and education for immunization program compliance and accountability per the AZ VFC Operations Guide. Provide oversight of the Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers Program for both internal and external staff. Complete required reporting, documentation, and data collection for all work activities. Maintain routine communication with provider staff, school/child care staff, and internal staff; record communications in Tracker. Attend meetings and trainings to enhance staff understanding of program roles and requirements. Other duties as assigned related to the position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge Of: Performance Management (PM), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Lean methodologies. Public health practices, vaccine schedules, storage, handling, shipping, inventory management, program rules and regulations, and child care. Skill In: Outstanding written and oral communication to explain immunization program rules. Leadership and team management. Proficiency in Microsoft, Google, and ASIIS tools. Ability To: Support a diverse workforce and promote equal opportunity. Communicate professionally with providers and staff. Lead and train co‑workers. Conduct research, write reports, and present findings. Utilize technology (ASIIS, Tracker, etc.). Travel across Arizona for program visits. Maintain good relationships with internal and external staff. Selective Preference(s): Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, social work, or a related discipline. Minimum 2+ years of experience in public health or related field, with experience in a Vaccines for Children Program or immunization provider office. Pre‑Employment Requirements: Driver’s License required. All newly hired State employees must complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
