Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift ⚙️ Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer II to oversee mechanical design and development projects, mentor engineering staff, and drive innovation across products and manufacturing processes. This senior-level role combines hands‑on engineering expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive mechanical engineering experience, project leadership skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through design, prototyping, and production
Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid‑level engineers
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability
Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and tolerance analyses
Oversee documentation including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and design reports
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and schedule management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product design and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
7 years of mechanical engineering experience, with 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar)
Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, or mechanical simulations
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.)
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Project management experience or PMP certification
Experience in product development for automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
