About The Farm Basket Case Farms (BCF) is a mission-driven, sustainably focused farm located in Waxhaw, North Carolina. The farm operates as both a productive agricultural space and a living classroom, with an emphasis on regenerative practices, food access, and community education. All food grown at BCF is donated directly to communities and partners serving areas experiencing food injustice, ensuring that the farm’s work has a tangible, local impact beyond its gates.
BCF is entering a season of significant growth. In 2026, the farm will expand substantially with the addition of six new grow houses and the establishment of a new orchard, increasing both production capacity and educational opportunity. Alongside this growth, the farm will continue to host school groups, educators, and community partners, offering hands‑on learning around sustainable agriculture, land stewardship, and climate‑aware growing practices. Every role at Basket Case Farms plays a meaningful part in supporting this mission — blending physical farm work, care for the land, and pride in contributing to a project that exists to serve people, community, and the environment.
As Basket Case Farms continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated, full‑time team member to support the day‑to‑day work of the farm. This role is hands‑on and varied, touching nearly every aspect of farm operations — from planting and harvesting to general maintenance, infrastructure support, and care of growing spaces.
