Job Details:
2 years of nursing experience required, first-time travelers accepted
Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
Patient ratio: 1:4-5 in 16-room telemetry unit
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
Epic charting system experience required, also use Pyxis and SBAR
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
Every other weekend schedule required
Floating required to other units
No call requirements
Holiday work required based on assignment period length
36 hours of orientation provided
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin
Care for patients with CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypo/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips management, chest tube care, central line management, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
Two supervisory references highly preferred (Manager level or above)

The facility maintains modern equipment including Epic charting systems, Pyxis medication dispensing, and advanced cardiac monitoring technology. The organization emphasizes quality patient care with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
