Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry role with night shifts and adult‑geriatrics patient care in Georgia.
Responsibilities
Work in a Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions
Handle post‑MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease, and peritoneal dialysis cases
Patient ratios are 1:5 with a 16‑bed unit and average daily census of 16
Use telemetry, EKG, Doppler equipment, and Pyxis system
Document using Epic EMR (Epic experience required)
Night shifts: 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
Floating required to other cardiac telemetry or appropriate units as needed
No on‑call responsibilities
Provide specialized care for cardiac patients including monitoring and interpreting telemetry
Must wear navy blue scrubs
Maximum of 7 days of requested time off for assignment; no RTO allowed during first week
Six weekend shifts required per 6‑week schedule period
Holiday work required based on number of major holidays within assignment period
Full compliance required prior to start; orientation may be pushed back if not met
First time travelers are accepted
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Returning employees must have been away for at least one full year from all Piedmont facilities to be eligible
Requirements
Active GA or compact RN license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
At least 1 year of recent cardiac telemetry RN experience
Experience with SBAR communication and Pyxis is preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to perform telemetry, EKG, and peritoneal dialysis tasks
