Baptist Health Interventional Radiology (BHIR), a hospital employed group of 6 Interventional Radiologists, seeks a 7th IR physician. BHIR provides coverage at the main hospital in Little Rock, and two smaller hospitals within the system located in North Little Rock and Conway. The only diagnostic responsibilities are CTAs and Vascular Ultrasounds during normal business hours M-F, which are read by a dedicated FTE with minimal responsibility for procedures on that day.
Practice Details include:
Main hospital has 4 angio suites and a dedicated CT procedure room
North Little Rock and Conway each have their own dedicated angio suites
Expected IR call schedule Q7 - There is no diagnostic call
Greater than 12 weeks off in addition to a post call day off
Pay is significantly above the national average
No Stroke coverage is required
2 PAs assisting in IR procedures, 1 nurse to help with rounding at the main hospital, 1 nurse helping coordinate all other cases at the two smaller hospitals, and clinical coordinators at two IR clinics
Common procedures include:
PE and DVT thrombectomy
Venous interventions
Interventional oncology
Vertebral augmentation
Hepatobiliary
Dialysis AV fistula and graft intervention
GI/GU
CT and US-guided intervention - biopsy, drainage, etc.
PAD at one of the smaller hospitals, if interested
Compensation and Benefits
Salaried compensation is significantly above the national average and NOT RVU based.
