Qualifications & Details
Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Caring and loving personality and demeanor
Leadership and mentorship skills
Ability to work scheduled shifts
Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
Responsibilities
Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of residents while protecting their rights
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians
Check residents daily to ensure appropriate treatment and evaluate physical and emotional status
Keep RN Supervisor informed about resident status and related matters
Implement recommended changes as directed by RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing
Provide professional services: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing/bandage changes, colostomy drainage, specimen collection, etc., following facility policies
Complete required RN record‑keeping forms and charts for admissions, discharges, transfers
Give and receive nursing reports during shift change
Investigate complaints and grievances and report to RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing
Maintain a professional image in dress, behavior and speech
Adhere to policies and standards
