Overview

As a Warehouse Specialist in our solar manufacturing facility, you will ensure the efficient flow of materials and products, supporting sustainable energy efforts. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, components, and finished products with high accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Accurately label and store materials in designated locations, maintaining clear inventory records.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
  • Prepare materials and products for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and palletizing.
  • Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, adhering to safety and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams for material availability and timely delivery.
  • Report damaged or defective materials to the appropriate department.
  • Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety guidelines; participate in safety training and drills.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management are a plus.
  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience loading and unloading 20+ shipping containers.
  • 5+ years of forklift experience, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach truck operation.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise; requires wearing personal protective equipment as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $20.00 - $21.50, depending on location, market, experience, training, and education.
