Overview

Lincoln Memorial University-College of Dental Medicine is seeking candidates for the position of Full-Time Dental Hygiene Faculty. Full-time faculty members are responsible for maintaining the highest academic standards in their disciplines. Faculty advise students; develop and maintain curriculum; stay current in their disciplines; stay current with pedagogy and teaching methodology; participate in on- and off-campus staff development activities; fulfill administrative responsibilities relevant to their positions; and participate in college and community service. A commitment to teaching, scholarly work and service are a must.

Responsibilities

Full-time faculty members advise students; develop and maintain curriculum; stay current in their disciplines; stay current with pedagogy and teaching methodology; participate in on- and off-campus staff development activities; fulfill administrative responsibilities relevant to their positions; and participate in college and community service.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience working in the appropriate industry or a related field
• The faculty member must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in the appropriate field
• Demonstrated skills teaching in traditional University classroom and on-line environments
• Ability to analyze, synthesize and interpret student learning outcome data to improve teaching and learning
• Demonstrated ability in word programs and Internet applications
• Demonstrated ability to research material both on-line and in traditional library settings
• Demonstrated dedication to excellence
• Work collaboratively and have an interest in being involved in professional organizations and teams that benefit their growth and the University and ultimately students
