Job Overview

Matthews International is a world‑wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing high‑quality wood, metal, and cremation caskets to funeral home customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable FULL‑TIME Delivery Professional to join our team at our Hauppauge, NY Service Center.

Work Schedule

Monday – Saturday. Must be available to work on Saturdays. Shift Hours: 7 am – 3:30 pm. Starting Pay: $19.75 per hour. Pay increases available under the Union membership contract.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver products.
• Load trucks for delivery.Prepare products for delivery.
• Complete daily log book to record delivery activity.
• Unload trucks upon arrival at drop‑off location and distribution center.
• Clean warehouse based on location and company compliance standards.
• Put products away as necessary.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Test, and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.

Physical Aspects / Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
