Senior 508 Tester – Woodlawn, MD
CGI Federal is seeking a Senior 508 Tester to support our SSA client in Woodlawn, MD. This role is ideal for a motivated QA professional with deep expertise in manual and automation testing, accessibility (508) compliance, and Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will work onsite with SSA government employees and subcontractors, contributing to mission‑critical systems that support millions of Americans.
Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end manual and automation testing using Selenium/Java.
- Perform 508 compliance testing using tools such as JAWS, WAVE, ANDI.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with Agile ceremonies.
- Support Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber framework.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Serve as a testing expert, providing mentorship and oversight while remaining hands‑on.
- Document testing deliverables including test logs, VPATs, and accessibility reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
- Ensure quality assurance best practices are followed throughout the SDLC.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain US public trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in functional and system integration testing.
- 5+ years as a business analyst or QA analyst working closely with development teams.
- 3+ years of experience with 508 testing using JAWS.
- 3+ years of automation testing experience using Selenium and Java.
- 5+ years working in Agile environments, preferably SAFe.
- Strong experience writing test plans, test cases, and leading QA efforts.
- Familiarity with GitHub or similar configuration management tools.
Desired Qualifications / Non‑essential Skills
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with web accessibility testing practices and standards.
- Experience as a senior‑level business analyst and tester (manual + automation).
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience generating and maintaining VPAT documentation.
- Ability to mentor junior testers and analysts.
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 – $176,300.00.
