Federal Compliance Tester – IBM Consulting Finance
Overview
IBM Consulting Finance seeks a detail-oriented business controls professional experienced in testing policies and procedures within a U.S. Federal Government contracting environment. Expertise in FAR and CAS regulations is essential.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Understand policies and procedures, develop test plans, and perform testing of processes related to the accounting system, estimating system, and procurement system.
- Apply knowledge of FAR and CAS to identify risks/issues and recommend remediation.
- Maintain detailed records of testing performed, results, and actions taken.
- Work independently under the guidance of the Compliance Manager to proactively obtain necessary data from internal and external sources.
- Communicate findings clearly with stakeholders through verbal and written channels, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Utilize or quickly learn Deltek Costpoint and other relevant systems.
Preferred Education
Master's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- U.S. Citizenship and U.S. location required.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- Experience or coursework in Business Controls and/or Audit.
- General knowledge of CAS, FAR, and business system requirements.
- Work experience with government contracting and CAS/FAR testing programs.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in financial management of government contracts, compliance and audit.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos.
- Knowledge of AI and process automation.
