Software QA Tester

Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Software QA Tester. The role involves manual testing of software applications to identify defects, verify functionality, and enhance overall quality. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers and product teams to execute test cases, report bugs, and verify fixes, utilizing various manual testing techniques. This position offers a valuable opportunity for growth within a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of manual testing techniques, including black-box, white-box, exploratory, usability, UAT, and ad-hoc testing
• Ability to create and execute detailed test cases
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla is a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand software requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases
• Configure testing environments to replicate real-world scenarios
• Manually execute test cases to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to verify fixes and perform regression testing
• Review testing outcomes and provide final sign-off on software quality
