Data Analyst
Position Location
This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond, Virginia in‑office/hybrid applicants and to remote applicants residing in Eastern or Central Standard Time states.
Your Role
The Data Analyst will join our expanding problem‑solving team in the Long Term Care Claims Operations department, harnessing data to forecast trends, build PowerBI dashboards, provide cost‑benefit analysis, drive capacity planning, and present insights to leadership.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support LTC Operations Claims leadership with reports, data, and analytical insights.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand problems and goals, gather requirements, and develop queries and KPI dashboards.
- Conceptualize, create, iterate, and automate dashboards in PowerBI for tracking metrics and driving business recommendations.
- Build and maintain reporting using tools such as SQL, Spotfire, PowerBI, and more.
- Handle ad‑hoc requests from internal and external parties in a timely fashion, aligning with current and historical processes.
- Participate in claim strategic initiative projects by providing insight and data analysis.
- Build strong relationships with senior management to develop deep context about organizational initiatives and help shape strategy through data.
- Recommend changes to processes based on trends and data analysis, applying knowledge of claims strategy, relevant issues, and risk and financial goals.
What You Bring
- Excellent analytic and problem‑solving skills, a critical thinker who can identify trends and solve problems with data.
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical discipline.
- 2‑5 years of professional experience developing SQL code in Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
- Strong knowledge of managing and analyzing structured data using Microsoft Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
- Proficiency in writing SQL, interpreting, enhancing, and optimizing established SQL queries.

The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $65,500 up to a maximum of $126,300. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan with a target earning opportunity of 7% of your base compensation. Final determination of base pay will consider location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity.
