Job Title: Temporary Recruiter – Transit & Transportation (60–90 Days)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Temporary Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for transit and transportation operations over a 60–90 day period. This role will focus on recruiting for safety-sensitive and customer-facing positions such as drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, and operational support staff. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation or similar regulated industries and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for transit and transportation roles, from job posting through onboarding coordination.
- Source candidates through job boards, community outreach, industry networks, and referral programs.
- Screen applicants to ensure they meet basic safety, licensing, and compliance requirements (e.g., CDL, DOT standards, background checks).
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, and hiring decisions with operations leaders.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and pipeline reporting through an applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Support hiring events, open houses, and community recruiting initiatives to build local talent pools.
- Communicate proactively with candidates to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
- Partner closely with HR and Operations to meet urgent staffing targets and onboarding timelines.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in transit, transportation, logistics, or other regulated industries.
- Proven success supporting high-volume, fast-paced hiring environments.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple locations or operational teams.
- Temporary assignment, approximately 60–90 days.
- Full-time schedule with flexibility based on hiring demands.
- May require occasional on-site support for hiring events or operational needs.
