Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial, administrative, and HR functions of our organization. This role is central to ensuring strong financial performance, efficient internal processes, and a positive employee experience.

  • Your Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8 am to 5 pm

Your Contribution to Opus

Financial & HR Management:
  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, collections, payroll
  • Financial statements (monthly and annual)
  • Weekly reporting to leadership scorecard
  • Annual budgeting, forecasting, planning
  • Compliance with regulations and internal controls
  • Manage health insurance, workers' comp, 401(k), Paychex, BambooHR
  • Maintain cash flow
  • Risk management
  • Maintain appropriate insurances
  • Tax compliance and filings
Team Leadership:
  • Supervise the Business Administrator in invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Organize bi-monthly full team meetings, presentations, and agendas

Your Experience

  • 5+ years experience in business management, finance, or operations
  • 5+ years of QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • HR, payroll, and benefits administration

Opus' Contribution to You

  • $75k to $150k/yr – compensation package
  • Healthcare: We cover $792/mo toward the plan you choose
  • 401(k) with 3% Opus paid bonus (after 1 year)
  • Paid holidays: 5 days/yr (and sometimes more)
  • We are closed with pay between Christmas and New Year's
  • Sick days: 5 days/yr (after 90 days)
  • PTO: 5 days/yr (and more after 2 years)
