Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates and packages
  • Maintain current list of available rooms for walk‑in situations
  • Coordinate blocking of rooms
  • Act as the “service champion” for the front office and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations
  • Ensure recognition of employees across areas of responsibility
  • Review comment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify improvement areas
  • Solicit employee feedback, use an “open door” policy, and review employee satisfaction results to address employee problems or concerns
  • Ensure staff communicates effectively with the housekeeping team
  • Maintain productive relationship with valet parking provider
  • Coordinate valet department schedule for daily operations
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests
  • Pre-register guests according to standards
  • Monitor VIP arrivals
  • Track rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness for check‑in
  • Work positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues
  • Act as manager on duty as required and coach direct reports
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Review staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • Monitor and respond to OTA messages
  • Conduct routine audits of L&F to ensure all items are logged and stored properly to the property’s standards
  • Provide guidance to the team on reservation prepayments and serve as the contact for reservation prepayments
  • Monitor Duve activity to improve front desk agents’ communication with guests to improve upsells, pre‑arrival and post‑arrival
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years in a similar leadership role (e.g., front desk supervisor, assistant front office manager)
  • Minimum of high school education; post‑high‑school education preferred
