As a Production Scheduler at MANN+HUMMEL, you will forecast, plan, and schedule the daily workflow based on customer orders and inventory, ensuring efficient product movement and meeting safety and quality goals.
Responsibilities
- Forecast, plan, and schedule production workflow based on customer orders.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors to define priorities in the production schedule.
- Release product to the appropriate department.
- Utilize company ERP system to create and analyze reports to determine best scheduling methods.
- Closely monitor job progress from creation to completion.
- Enter inventory information and confirm physical inventory when needed.
- Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems, recommending solutions.
- Take a proactive approach to scheduling methodologies to identify potential conflicts throughout the different phases of production, minimizing errors and maximizing customer experience.
- Provide data as required to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and future order needs.
- Ensure safety and quality goals are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Business or related discipline preferred).
- 2+ years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing operation setting.
- Forward thinker, self‑starter, motivated, dependable.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel (pivot tables, V‑Lookup). Requires prior experience with ERP system (SAP beneficial).
- Ability to read and write reports; understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules.
- Acute observation skills to ensure safety.
- Effective communication: speaking, writing, active listening, and ability to take instructions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical: able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
