Job Summary

Provide support to Commercial Sales Team and Supply Chain, to free up District/Branch/Sales Manager’s and Purchasing Team’s time. Help with sourcing for non-managed products, or as requested.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Provide pricing guidance/support for Sales Reps, upon direction from VP of Supply Chain or Commercial Mgt Team. Including new quotes, bids and RFQ’s.
  • Communicate with Suppliers and Potential Suppliers for product sourcing requests, primarily on Non-Managed Products
  • Use Brenntag Source (former Moneypenny) to help support new Sourcing Opportunities
  • Help execute supplier negotiations on non-managed products, including meetings when appropriate
  • As requested, assist the Product Managers in identifying and organizing cost saving opportunities on products in their portfolio
  • Help roll out and execute Product Line launches or conversions, where needed
  • As needed, identify alternate products and/or manufacturers that offer purchase savings
  • Monitor, submitted savings, through SharePoint and QLIK, and update expectations accordingly
  • Provide back up to Purchasing Team, assisting in placing PO’s and Direct Shipment invoicing when requested
  • Work with Inventory team to move products between branches when needed
  • Work internally to advise on product availability when appropriate, including working with CSR’s
  • Assigned tasks or project support for Supply Chain Team
  • Represent Brenntag Pacific in a Professional Manner

Your Profile

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in chemical distribution.
  • Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office, AS400 and LotusNotes.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Brenntag products distributed.
  • Requires knowledge of business statistics and analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff including upper management.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
