Plant Controller

Pay: $55–$60/hr, paid weekly
Duration: 4-month temp position, potential for long term.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Location: Onsite, Portage, WI 53901

Overview

The Plant Controller serves as the plant manager’s right-hand, overseeing financial operations, internal controls, and business processes to support growth and profitability. This role provides financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations to guide strategic decisions, focusing on cost accounting, month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, general entries, reconciliations, and ensure balance sheet accuracy.
• Drive annual budget, forecast, and standard cost development processes.
• Provide actionable financial insights to support plant operations and strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and sound business practices.
• Promote safety, environmental compliance, and best practices in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing plant environment as a Cost Accountant or Plant Controller.
• CPA preferred, with strong knowledge in accounting, finance, and cost accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, QAD, Oracle).
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Corporate/finance analysis experience.
• Manufacturing FP&A, S&OP, and process improvement expertise.
