Overstory Health seeks a strategic and detail‑oriented Manager/Director of Finance to lead financial operations, vendor oversight, and strategic planning. You’ll manage our outsourced billing/RCM vendor, oversee accounts payable and payroll, validate expenses, and support financial modeling and long‑range planning. This role ensures financial accuracy, cash‑flow integrity, and operational clarity while partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team. You're a Good Fit If You

5–7+ years in healthcare finance, accounting, or related fields (behavioral health preferred). Experience overseeing billing/RCM vendors and tracking performance metrics. Strong background in AP, payroll, and general ledger processes. Familiarity with payroll/accounting tools (e.g., Gusto, QuickBooks, ADP). Solid analytical and Excel/Sheets modeling skills; forecasting experience a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Mission‑driven approach and comfort operating in a growing healthcare environment. Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for RCM vendor and monitor claim submission, AR follow‑up, and payment posting. Review vendor reports to identify trends, delays, or issues requiring escalation. Partner with clinical/operations teams to ensure documentation and payer compliance. Build and maintain dashboards tracking clean claim rate, DSO, cash collections, and other KPIs. Support payer contracting and credentialing coordination. Oversee AP workflows, invoice validation, and expense coding. Approve expenses and ensure alignment with policies and budgets. Ensure timely payments to vendors, partners, and employees. Partner with HR/Chief of Staff on biweekly payroll processing and audits. Support monthly close and account reconciliations. Develop and refine dashboards tracking revenue, expenses, and cash flow against plan. Contribute to annual budget development and provide variance analysis with recommendations. Assist in preparation of board materials, grant budgets, and investor or lender reporting. Identify and implement opportunities for financial process improvement and automation. Benefits
