We’re hiring a Test Technician who will be responsible for assembling the mechanical/electrical components of the propulsion system for the satellite in a cleanroom and ESD control environment. The working hours for this role are 4/10s, Friday–Monday 7 am – 5:30 pm PDT. The Technician will assemble the propulsion system and help to identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on production hardware and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, start‑up like environment and is able to apply their technical expertise and commitment to quality to positively impact team metrics and organization goals. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.
Key Job Responsibilities
Support process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
Participate in daily team meetings, end‑of‑shift reporting, and coordinate efforts to minimize production interruptions
Support safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance
Shift Requirements Friday – Monday 7 am – 5:30 pm
Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2 years relevant aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience or equivalent industry experience
2 years hands‑on experience with electro‑mechanical assemblies, final integration and/or harness integration experience
2 years experience in a fast‑paced production environment with flight hardware
2 years hand‑on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (e.g., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi‑meters, torque wrenches, etc.)
Able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/or drawings
Experience working with FOD, ESD‑sensitive hardware and cleanroom requirements
Experience working with MES software packages
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high‑paced, challenging work environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Aircraft & Powerplant certification/license, automotive certification(s), or other technical certification(s)/AA’s
Pay & Benefits The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
Pay ranges from $71,760/year in our lowest geographic market to $80,080/year in our highest geographic market. Equity, sign‑on payments and other compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.
