Key job responsibilities
Leading and supervising manufacturing teams in satellite production environment
Troubleshooting complete technical issues with both enterprise system and production hardware
Ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality and safety standard
Support new‑hire training programs and contributing to development and modification of training programs
Managing production schedule and timelines for daily delivery goals
Coordinating across multiple teams within department (engineering, quality, supply chain)
Lead daily team meeting, end‑of‑shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions
Implementing process improvements and optimizations across department
Follow clean room protocols and procedures
Perform and execute complex assembly builds or test while maintaining high standards
Creating and maintaining technical documents
A day in the life The Lead MFG Technician will identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, start‑up like environment and is able to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact team metrics and organization goals.
About the team We are a group of Technicians with well over 20 years of diverse skills and experience. Each team member brings in willingness to train and positive team energy. Some tasks you may be an individual contributor, but may also work in a group environment to achieve organizational goals. This group of Technicians thrived in success by working as a team. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of technical work experience
4+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
High school or equivalent diploma
4+ years of hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi‑meters, torque wrenches)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience bringing teams and processes from development to production
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high‑paced, challenging work environment
Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
1+ years experience leading technicians in a manufacturing environment
