Shipman & Goodwin LLP is looking for an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to support our Hartford attorneys. The role involves complex document production using advanced MS Word features; extensive client contact and scheduling; state and federal court e‑filing; expense tracking and reconciliation; time entry and client billing.
Responsibilities
Produce complex documents using advanced MS Word features.
Manage client contact, scheduling, calendar, and meeting management.
File documents and manage client billing and expense tracking.
Enter time and generate accurate client billing.
Handle advanced features of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
Solid oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proactive and highly motivated to learn.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize work.
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures, and electronic filing experience.
Strong document production skills and advanced features of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
