Position Summary Responsible for the proper movement of finished product from production to the cooler racking for storage. The hours of this position are 5:30 am–6:00 pm and are scheduled to work every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Complete pre‑shift inspection of forklifts and submit required daily inspection paperwork.
Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using FIFO system.
Operate all equipment in a safe manner including but not limited to powered or manual low‑lift trucks.
Inspect trailers for cleanliness based on SQF guidelines.
Ensure all paperwork has been completed for pre/post shift activities.
Log finished product in inventory when placed on cooler racks.
Ensure assigned areas are cleaned and sanitized per SSO guidelines.
Ensure utilization of dock locks when loading trucks.
Ensure all forklifts are placed on charge before leaving for the day.
Inspect loading equipment for defects and report deficiencies to management.
Inspect trailers meet required temperature of 36 degrees before loading product.
Assist with cycle counts, material staging, and stock transitions.
Responsible for the distribution of product donations as requested.
Record and process inventory transactions of all materials (inbound, outbound stock movements within the appropriate system).
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
Upholds and participates in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
This position has responsibilities related to Food Quality and Safety.
Supervisory This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and perform basic mathematical functions.
A valid driver’s license and a forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or that an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
