Salary Range: $53,423.00 – $80,134.00

Description of Work This management position oversees the supervision, coordination, and administration of clinical dietitians and food service staff in the Outfoods area and the Sandbar Café. Key responsibilities include recruitment, selection, and procurement of nutritional supplements and event‑related items within budgetary guidelines, support of sanitation and safety practices, ensuring compliance with performance‑management processes, training, coaching, counseling, and implementing disciplinary actions as needed. The manager also assists with staff monitoring and evaluation to promote continuous improvement and ensures adherence to ICF regulations, Caswell/DHHS policies, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and all relevant safety and sanitation guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Management Preferences

Thorough knowledge of the accepted principles and practices of normal and therapeutic nutrition as it relates to chronic disease and nutrition needs across the lifespan.

Thorough knowledge of purchasing and procuring food, nutritional supplements, equipment, and supplies, food sanitation principles and methods of maintaining standards.

Considerable knowledge of methods, material, and equipment used in large‑scale cooking and food service activities.

Ability to delegate responsibility and to plan, organize, and direct employees with a variety of skills.

Ability to analyze operations and to evaluate needs and improvements along with serving as an effective liaison between the dietary department and other professional services departments.

Ability to foster a cooperative working environment with effective internal and external communication as well as the ability to motivate employees to work positively toward departmental and organizational goals.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Nutrition, Institutional Management, Food Service, or Dietetics from an appropriately accredited institution with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility; or

Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related area from an appropriately accredited institution and completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program with (AND) Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility, and one year of dietary experience.

Work Hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (varies as needed). This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
