Job Summary
Top client in need of a hospital controller.
Responsibilities
Supervises the Assistant Controller.
Organizes functions of the department through the assignment of responsibilities and monitors activities to ensure completion of work within specified time frames according to departmental, division or corporate policies.
Establishes productivity goals for the department.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages open communication within the department and between the department and hospital management.
Facilitates completion of budgets, cost report workpapers, and ad hoc reports under the direction of the ACFO/CFO.
Prepares and coordinates internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance – Required.
Master's degree in Business Administration in Accounting or Finance – Preferred.
3+ years of experience in Accounting – Required.
5+ years of experience in Accounting with 1–2 years supervising accountants, preferably in a healthcare setting – Required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Preferred.
