Human Resource Information System Manager
TRS Staffing Solutions provided pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
The HRIS Manager will assist the VP of HR for the strategic leadership, administration, optimization, and ongoing support of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with a primary focus on UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management (WFM), for a diverse workforce of approximately 5,000 employees.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the VP of HR with the overall HRIS strategy, and governance for UKG Pro and UKG WFM.
Translate business, operational, and labor requirements (union and non-union) into scalable system solutions.
Partner with Labor Relations and HR leadership to ensure accurate system setup aligned with CBAs.
Maintain multiple pay rules, schedules, and accrual structures across bargaining units.
Support contract negotiations by providing data, reports, and scenario modeling as needed.
Ensure consistent application of rules across union and non-union populations.
Ensure compliance with Hawaii wage and hour laws.
Partner with Legal, Payroll, and HR teams to mitigate risk related to system errors or misconfigurations.
Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports for HR, Finance, Operations, and leadership.
Ensure data accuracy for payroll processing, benefits eligibility, headcount, turnover, and labor reporting.
Support benefits administration, eligibility tracking, and vendor integrations.
Partner with Payroll Director/Payroll Manager in troubleshooting complex payroll and timekeeping issues, including retro pay and corrections.
Configure and maintain union and non-union pay rules, premiums, and accruals.
Establish documentation, SOPs, and cross-training to ensure business continuity.
Set performance goals and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of progressive HRIS experience, preferably in grocery, retail, hospitality, or other high-volume hourly environments.
5+ years of hands-on UKG Pro experience, including Core HR and Payroll.
3+ years of direct UKG Workforce Management (WFM) experience is REQUIRED, including timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, and pay rules.
Demonstrated experience supporting union and non-union workforces, including contract-driven configurations.
Strong working knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, and labor compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large, hourly workforces (e.g., retail, grocery, hospitality, healthcare, or similar industries).
Experience working in Hawaii or with Hawaii-specific labor and leave laws.
UKG certifications (Pro or WFM).
Experience leading HRIS implementations, upgrades, or major system transitions.
Working Conditions
Hybrid and/or remote work may be available depending on location and department needs, but must be able to adhere to Hawaiian time zone.
Occasional after-hours or weekend work during payroll cycles, system upgrades, or critical issue resolution may be required.
