Job Description The Release Engineer role contributes to the success of client’s Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform by owning, managing, facilitating, and executing releases across various environments, as well as coordinating across development teams and business stakeholders.
Your role
Plan, manage, and execute releases across all environments — from development to production
Identify technical and functional interdependencies between various tracks
Coordinate with all development pods and stakeholders across programs
Review application code, documentation, and perform pre/post deployment tasks
Define release process for new data engineering applications
Change management communication to all required stakeholders
Lead release cadence from Monday through Thursday
Execute release packages, step‑by‑step deployment guides, and command line instructions on production environment
Support project timelines, clearly setting expectations, and realign expectations internally as priorities change
Develop a sound understanding of client’s needs: data conversion and migration requirements, environment management and build processes, deployment planning and execution, solution designs, systems integrations, technical architectures, and infrastructure architectures.
Your Skills And Experience
Execute deployment scripts and step‑by‑step instructions in test and production environments
Comfortable with Command Line Interfaces
Understanding of CI/CD, Git branching, packaging and DevOps pipelines
Working knowledge of data warehousing and reporting technologies: Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog, Python, Spark, PySpark, Airflow, MicroStrategy, Tableau
Nice To Have
Scala, Java, and Angular
Leadership and Communication Strengths
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Has the ability to know what is possible and what is not, and to know how to navigate project engagements efficiently and effectively
Ability to engage in difficult conversations that result in positive, actionable outcomes
Ability to navigate complex and diverse landscapes effectively
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $130,000 to $150,000.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
