Job Summary Title: Eligibility Specialist II (Office of Economic Self‑Sufficiency). Salary: $37,035.96 per year. Location: Riviera Beach, FL. Agency: Florida Department of Children & Families – Office of Economic Self‑Sufficiency.

Responsibilities

Back‑up the unit supervisor in day‑to‑day duties.

Review cases during the service delivery model, perform case reviews for unit employees, give feedback to improve accuracy rates, and provide training/mentoring to unit members.

Handle a high volume of work in a deadline‑driven environment, prioritizing and planning assignments while remaining flexible to change.

Perform quality management system reviews and quality control analysis, providing training where problems are identified.

Ensure eligibility determinations meet federal and state laws and department policies within required timeframes.

Maintain work responsibilities including medical expense tracking, changes, sanctions, data exchange, alerts, ad‑hoc reports, and Medicaid file resolution.

Identify possible fraud or overpayment and refer to fraud/overpayment departments.

Ensure electronic case records are thoroughly documented.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements: At least 18 months experience working in the Office of Economic Self‑Sufficiency determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance.

Background Screening Applicants must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check (including fingerprinting for FDLE and FBI, and possibly local checks) before employment.
