Overview Monitor material master data quality and ensure compliance with data governance standards.

Responsibilities

Independent, self-starter with 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data science.

Hands‑on experience with SAP and Excel (must‑have).

Mid‑level proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python to build custom analytics tools.

Ability to work cross‑functionally with manager‑level stakeholders to troubleshoot and audit data.

Monitor material and master data quality.

Manage ~1,000 material data profiles across ~100 fields.

Ensure compliance with rules and regulations for each field.

Maintain high data quality standards through data cleanup and automation, auditing and quality checks, identifying and resolving problems, notifying teams of updates, detecting problem patterns, and collaborating with different departments to resolve data quality issues and understand business impact.

Perform data profiling and cleansing activities to identify and document data quality issues.

Develop metrics and key project indicators (KPIs) to measure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of material master data; work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify root causes of data inconsistencies.

Analyze data quality issues to determine their origins and potential impacts; create detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and implemented solutions.

Collaborate with data stewards and other stakeholders to address root causes and implement corrective actions.

Define and implement data quality rules, validation procedures, and quality checks tailored to material master data.

Develop profiling reports and ensure adherence to data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational workflows; maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality rules and processes.

Regularly monitor data quality metrics and dashboards to assess data health and identify areas for improvement; conduct regular audits to ensure material master data meets organizational standards.

Work closely with decision‑makers to convey the impact of data quality issues and present actionable solutions; partner with data stewards, SMEs, and other organizational members to resolve data quality problems effectively.

Provide training and educational resources to stakeholders to promote data literacy and governance.

Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and architects to ensure that data quality is a key consideration throughout the data lifecycle; participate in Agile or similar project management workflows to enhance data systems and ensure compliance with data quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management, Data Analysis, Data Science or related field.

3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data management or data science.

Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis, data profiling, root cause analysis, and data quality improvement.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office, SAP or other database systems, Power BI, SQL, Python.

Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Corona, CA. This is a hybrid position in Corona, CA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $71,000.00 – $80,000.00/yr. Benefits package available upon request.
