Job Summary We are hiring a
SAP Materials Management (MM) and Work Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)
for our client, a
leading electric utility company in the energy sector , supporting
substation operations . This role focuses on improving
material and inventory management ,
work management workflows , and
resource planning
within SAP.
The contractor will partner closely with
Business and IT stakeholders
to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements in
SAP MM
and supporting analytics platforms such as
Snowflake , where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the functional SME for
SAP MM
supporting inventory and materials processes
Receiving, stocking, reservations, issues/returns
Inventory accuracy, cycle counts, replenishment
Support
work management workflows
tied to field execution
Material consumption and returns
Lead
requirements gathering sessions
with operations, warehouse/storeroom teams, planners, schedulers, and IT
Translate requirements into:
Functional specifications
User stories and acceptance criteria
Process flows, data definitions, and test scenarios
Configure and implement
SAP MM enhancements
and coordinate with technical teams for integrations and reporting
Define
inventory and operational reporting requirements
using
Snowflake
or similar analytics platforms
Support testing, cutover, hypercare, and develop
SOPs
and end-user documentation
Required Qualifications
Strong
hands‑on SAP MM functional experience
Experience supporting
materials and inventory management
in a
utility or asset‑intensive environment
Solid understanding of
work management and field execution
processes
Proven ability to lead
cross‑functional Business and IT discussions
Comfortable working in a
contract role
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
or related work management modules
Exposure to
Snowflake, reporting, or operational analytics
Familiarity with
electric utility or substation operations
