About The Role Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an experienced
Controller
to oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep expertise in financial services, loan or leasing accounting, and strong technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy and risk management.
Manage and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional growth.
Drive process improvements and system enhancements to support business objectives.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within loan or leasing environments in financial services or banking.
CPA strongly preferred.
Blended public accounting and industry experience is acceptable (straight public accounting profiles will not be considered).
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Banking experience with accounting is highly desired.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
