As a
Human Resources Business Services Manager , you will manage all HR activities for the Sylmar, CA site and be a strategic advisor for plant leadership through progressive HR practices. You will drive all HR functions, strategic initiatives, maintain a union‑free workplace, lead special projects, set goals, use design thinking, data analysis, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Reporting directly to the HR Business Services Cluster Leader, you will lead plans in organizational development, workforce planning, and talent strategy, focusing on innovation and future readiness.

Main Responsibilities
Collaborate with plant and functional leaders to align HR strategies with team goals, focusing on talent development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Lead change plans and organizational development programs that foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Identify talent and support career pathing, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
Use HR analytics to identify trends, forecast workforce needs, and guide strategic decisions.
Champion employee engagement strategies and feedback mechanisms to create an inclusive workplace.
Maintain a union‑free work environment.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and manage risk.
Partner with COEs (Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) to create integrated HR solutions.
Lead or contribute to enterprise‑wide HR projects, including digital transformation, HR tech adoption, and process optimization.
Demonstrate flexibility and openness to future relocation opportunities aligned with career progression and our needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including strategic HRBP or OD roles.
SHRM‑SCP or SPHR strongly preferred.
Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
Experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
Exposure to union avoidance strategies and employee relations.
Design thinking or HR methodology experience.
Bilingual capabilities.
Willingness to relocate within 2-4 years for career advancement.
Base salary range: $127,000 to $140,000+.
