Key Responsibilities
Own the planning, budgeting, and execution of major Oncology congresses and conventions.
Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for attendees throughout all pre-, peri-, and post-congress activities.
Serve as Congress Lead, managing communications, scheduling, meeting debriefs, and performance metric reviews.
Deliver key operational workstreams and execute the Congress Excellence Framework.
Identify and implement innovative improvements in policies, procedures, and technology.
Lead updates to the Congress and Convention Playbook.
Develop and manage detailed planning timelines and action plans with cross-functional partners.
Ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met, with clear communication to stakeholders and partners.
Oversee logistics for meetings and events (housing, registration, meeting rooms, calendar invites).
Align congress meeting priorities with Global Marketing, R&D, US Sales, Medical Affairs, and other teams.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution are unified and effective.
Identify barriers and drive solutions for seamless execution.
Champion industry-leading practices to deliver impactful stakeholder experiences at key Oncology congresses.
Evaluate and enhance tools and resources for meeting execution, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Lead the evolution of the US Oncology Conventions Hub into an integrated one-stop shop.
Build and strengthen health policy advocacy initiatives in support of Johnson & Johnson’s long-term strategy.
Engage with relevant associations to advance policy objectives.
Develop expertise in marketing competencies and gain exposure to all areas of the business.
Lead by influence, consulting, and change management.
Challenge the status quo and drive new ideas with a future-focused mindset.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
A minimum of 5 years of industry or corporate agency experience.
Practical knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing, FDA regulatory/legal environment, and HCC regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
Experience delivering large-scale events and leading process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel up to 35% (domestic and limited international).
In-person office collaboration required 3 days/week.
Preferred:
Experience in Oncology.
Familiarity with Totality & ARIBA platforms.
Other:
