Job Title: Job Captain
Actalent – Join to apply for the Job Captain role at Actalent. This position supports government projects including Department of Defense, manufacturing, testing labs, and fire stations. We are expanding to accommodate recent successful bids on federal projects and offer a chance to contribute to long‑term growth.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of design and construction documents using Revit from schematic design to construction documents.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
Assist the Project Architect and Project Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Conduct code research and ensure compliance with local building codes and accessibility standards.
Participate in project meetings and manage communication between stakeholders.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit with at least 2 years of experience.
Experience working on different building components such as steel construction, tilt‑up concrete, pre‑manufactured buildings, and masonry.
Experience working on projects from schematic design to construction documents.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Job Captain.
B.S. in Architecture.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience mentoring junior staff for at least 1 year.
Open to a variety of project experiences including government, public works, commercial, and mixed‑use projects.
Experience working on at least 2 projects from schematic design to construction documents.
Work Environment The position offers a hybrid work schedule with in‑office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work‑from‑home days on Monday and Friday. The work schedule consists of four 9‑hour days and a half‑day on Friday, with flexible hours from 7 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 6 PM, including a 1‑hour lunch break.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: $31.25 – $38.46 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
