We are seeking an experienced and motivated Architectural Job Captain with a strong interest or background in residential architecture to join our Sacramento-based team. The Job Captain will play a key role in the development, coordination, and documentation of projects from schematic design through construction administration. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, consultants, and clients. Responsibilities
Lead the production and coordination of construction documents for architectural projects Translate design concepts into detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit Assist in managing project schedules, drawing sets, and deliverables Review drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations Support project managers and architects during permitting, bidding, and construction phases Respond to plan check comments and coordinate revisions Participate in construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field observations as needed Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture 1+ years of professional architectural experience (residential experience preferred) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Solid understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and building codes Experience producing permit-ready and construction-level drawing sets Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Progress toward licensure is a plus What We Offer
