Description
Seeking a Network Engineer for our client’s Infrastructure and Operations organization. This Engineer will possess technical expertise and engineering skills that allow them to grow into a leading subject matter expert, as well as enabling Cloud-based solutions. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment, assist in identifying requirements and facilitating implementation, while following appropriate change control and release processes.

Primary Responsibilities Promote hands‑on, white glove customer service experience supporting all environments. Designing and implementing network solutions. Maintaining on‑prem and cloud‑based computer networks through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems. Collaborate with Project Managers around project tasks Assists with coordinating changes across multiple systems Follow and contribute to policies, procedures, and standards
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge / Experience in the following skill sets:
Experience managing Public Cloud Accounts (AWS VPCs / Azure Tenants) and cloud connectivity through a direct cloud exchange provider such as Equinix or Digital Reality
Working knowledge and expertise with WAN technologies such as MPLS, Eline/Waves, SDWAN, and DIA circuits.
Able to perform packet captures and decipher the data for root cause analysis.
Firm understanding of Cisco switching and routing. Primarily the Nexus series.
Experience with Scripting (Python, PowerShell, JSON, YAML, etc)
Experience with Automation Tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
Advanced troubleshooting skills to assist teams in isolating the root cause of incidents and issues.
Understanding of Application and Enterprise‑based Load Balancers
Understanding of Service Mesh Technology
Understanding of Firewall Rule Management
Understanding of Network Security Best Practices
Understanding of Linux and/or MS Windows Environments
Understanding of VMWare Environments
Able to work on efforts independently and progress in a proactive fashion
Agile / Scrum experience a plus
Skills aws, azure, wan, cisco networking, automation
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have good communication skills

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 – $75.00/hr.
