FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a Distribution Operations Supervisor for a rapidly growing client in the life sciences space. This role represents a great opportunity to join a great company focused on delivering efficiency in the healthcare industry.
What will you be doing as a Distribution Operations Supervisor?
Provide leadership and oversight to day‑to‑day shipping operations
Maintain and encourage a positive, customer‑focused experience
Develop Key Performance Indicators and execute on countermeasures as needed
Optimize material flow thorough the warehouse (receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping)
Ensure quality and accuracy with outgoing shipments
To be successful, you will need:
BS in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or another related field
5+ years of experience in Distribution Operations
2+ years of leadership experience; ability to connect with and motivate your team
Proven ability to develop and document procedures
Strong understanding of Quality Systems/ISO 9000
Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of WMS
Things considered a plus:
MBA
Experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical distribution
CDR license (California/Florida)
Tecsys
Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma
