Our client is seeking a
Data Scientist
to join a growing analytics team focused on driving data-informed decisions across merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and customer experience. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to translate complex questions into actionable insights, build scalable data solutions, and deploy models that directly impact consumer behavior and operational performance.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a business-first mindset and thrives in environments where analytics influence real-world outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and data-driven solutions
Source, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple internal and external systems
Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and descriptive models that support retail use cases such as demand forecasting, customer segmentation, pricing, promotions, and marketing effectiveness
Build and maintain production-ready data pipelines and models in a cloud-based environment
Create clear, compelling dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders and executives
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, operations, and IT teams to ensure solutions are adopted and deliver measurable business value
Continuously evaluate emerging techniques (e.g., machine learning, generative AI) to enhance analytics capabilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation
Experience with SQL and working with large relational and cloud-based data warehouses
Hands‑on experience with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, time series, etc.)
Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business audiences
Preferred Skills & Experience
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including tools like Databricks or Snowflake
Experience with big data tools (e.g., PySpark)
Exposure to marketing analytics, customer behavior analysis, or campaign measurement
