Position Overview The Content & Social Media Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end content creation, social media strategy, and performance management across the Umami Riot portfolio. The role owns content capture, manages photo and video shoots, builds and executes social media calendars, and measures performance across all platforms, focusing on storytelling and measurable growth in followers, engagement, reach, collaborations, and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Capture

Lead all content capture across the portfolio, including food, beverage, chef features, events, interiors, and behind‑the‑scenes storytelling.

Plan, manage, and execute photo and video shoots, coordinating with photographers, videographers, culinary teams, and operations.

Build and maintain an organized content library that supports ongoing marketing, social, PR, and award submissions.

Ensure all content aligns with each concept’s brand voice, aesthetic, and positioning.

Social Media Strategy & Calendar Management

Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual social media calendars across all Umami Riot concepts.

Plan content around:

Signature food and beverage

Chef and team features

Events, promotions, and special programming

Seasonal moments and social media holidays

Awards, accolades, and media recognition

Execute posting across all active platforms, ensuring consistent cadence and high‑quality storytelling.

Adapt content for each platform while maintaining brand consistency.

Growth, Engagement & Platform Expansion

Drive measurable growth in followers, engagement, reach, and collaborations.

Identify, test, and expand into new and emerging platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, blogs, podcasts, and other owned channels.

Repurpose content across platforms to maximize reach, longevity, and ROI.

Collaborate with internal teams to identify new content formats and storytelling opportunities.

Partnerships, Collaborations & Influencer Engagement

Collaborate with venue and media partners such as The Street, The Verb, and similar organizations to create shared content and coordinated posts.

Support influencer engagement initiatives, including outreach, coordination, and content capture.

Ensure all collaborations align with brand standards and deliver meaningful exposure and engagement.

Track performance of collaborative content and partnerships.

Awards, Recognition & Visibility

Support award submissions by developing and curating strong visual and social content.

Maximize social media visibility around awards, nominations, and press coverage.

Ensure content is optimized for both owned channels and third‑party amplification.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

Track and report on social media performance monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Analyze metrics including follower growth, engagement rates, reach, impressions, and content performance.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve strategy, content mix, posting cadence, and platform focus.

Use data to inform future content planning and platform expansion.

Create biannual competitive reporting for each concept.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in content creation and social media management, preferably within hospitality, food & beverage, lifestyle, or creative brands.

Proven ability to manage photo and video shoots from planning through execution.

Strong understanding of social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels.

Demonstrated success growing social followings and engagement.

Strong visual eye with experience developing brand‑aligned and performance‑driven content.

Excellent organizational and calendar management skills.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑concept environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working with partners, collaborators, or influencers preferred.

Passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and video editing software.

Familiarity with social media management tools.

Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, Google Analytics, web analytics, and social listening tools.

Knowledge of Facebook Advertising platform and experience running paid campaigns.

Excellent graphic design skills with an eye for branding consistency.

Employment Type Full‑time

Base Pay $55,000 per year
