Base pay range $49.00/hr - $51.00/hr
The Food Scientist will lead product development within the Sports Drink category, executing projects from concept through commercialization. This role applies core
food science ,
sensory ,
analytical ,
microbiology , and
engineering principles
to drive innovation, support base business maintenance, and deliver productivity initiatives. The position operates independently while partnering cross-functionally and serving as a technical consultant to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and commercialize sports beverage products using
beverage formulation
and
process technology .
Prepare, manage, and protect
proprietary formulas , specifications, and technical documentation.
Lead multi-disciplinary projects with effective
project management
and
time management .
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve
ingredient ,
formula , and
process issues .
Conduct
sensory evaluations ,
analytical testing , and
microbiological assessments
to ensure product quality and compliance.
Research and evaluate emerging trends and technologies in the
beverage industry .
Maintain accurate records and ensure
laboratory safety
compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Food Science
or related discipline;
MS preferred .
5+ years of experience in
beverage development
or related food R&D.
Strong knowledge of
food chemistry ,
food process technology ,
microbiology ,
sensory science , and
product commercialization .
Proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate cross-functionally.
