Accounting Clerk

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance department in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations in Denver, Colorado! Pay : $20.00-$25.00 an hour
Position Summary The Accounting Clerk will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day financial functions of the business, with responsibilities spanning across Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Collections, Billing, and Data Entry and Account Management. This position requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work comfortably across multiple online platforms and accounting systems. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable (AR)
Process and apply customer payments accurately
Monitor aging reports and assist with collection efforts
Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances
Accounts Payable (AP)
Review, code, and enter vendor invoices
Assist with payment processing and reconciliation
Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies
Collections
Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts
Document collection activities and elevate as appropriate
Collaborate with AR team to improve cash flow metrics
Billing
Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner
Ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate with internal departments to support billing inquiries
Data Entry & Systems Management
Enter and maintain financial data across multiple systems
Ensure accuracy and consistency of records
Support reporting and analysis using Excel and other tools
Qualifications & Skills
Ideal minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or clerical finance roles
Degree required for advancement
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data functions)
Ability to work across multiple online applications and accounting systems
Experience with Salesforce and Route Manager preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
