Part Time Faculty Interest Pool – Business Administration: Accounting
Portland Community College (PCC) – the largest post‑secondary institution in Oregon – invites applications for part‑time faculty assignments in Business Administration: Accounting and Finance. The role will involve teaching courses both face‑to‑face on the main campuses (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, Cascade) and online. This is not a specific position but a pool; placements will be made monthly based on course needs.
Program & Desired Profile The business programs are offered in multiple instructional modes. The program page: https://www.pcc.edu/programs/business/. Applicants must review the Business Administration Course Content and Outcome Guides and indicate which PCC courses they can teach.
Instructor Qualifications
Master’s degree
in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics—or a related field; at least 30 quarter‑hours of accounting credits; ≥3 years full‑time equivalent non‑teaching accounting work; CPA or CMA preferred; prior teaching experience desirable.
Alternatively:
Hold a post‑baccalaureate certificate in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least 30 quarter‑hours of accounting credits; >3 years full‑time equivalent non‑teaching accounting work; CPA or CMA required; teaching experience preferred.
Academic Credential Requirements
Submit official transcripts within 2 weeks of offer for required degrees.
Credentials must be from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent foreign institution; foreign transcripts will be evaluated by NACES agencies.

Applicants must reside in Oregon or Washington; PCC does not currently sponsor visas.
Position is covered by the bargaining agreement with the Portland Community College Faculty Federation.
