Visual Merch - Store
About the Role
Support the management team in achieving goals by providing world‑class service. Serve as a role model for building relationships with customers. Maintain presence through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage throughout the store. Perform operational functions to ensure the store meets company guidelines and implement visual changes to maintain store standards.
Responsibilities
Create engaging experiences for customers by sharing expertise on styling, decorating, and entertaining.
Seek out and promote innovative ways to make our stores a neighborhood destination for inspiration.
Interpret and execute visual inspiration to drive sales and convey the brand’s eclectic, creative, and modern spirit.
Ensure merchandising and displays are visually compelling to drive sales.
Model and coach associates on how to uphold visual standards.
Protect the lifestyle image of the WSI brands.
Make the store a fun, inspirational neighborhood destination.
Continuously seek inspiration, trends, and ways to elevate product, decorating, and styling expertise.
Replenish the sales floor regularly and maintain visual presentation and displays.
Execute floorsets to reflect the inspiration, standards, and spirit of the brand within the required timeframe.
Foster an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with our People‑First Philosophy.
Collaborate with the sales team by appreciating and valuing the talents and contributions of others.
Be held accountable for brand competencies: strategic agility, innovation and change, influential leadership, effective communication, self‑development, teamwork, customer focus, personal accountability, operational excellence, and execution.
Skills & Knowledge
1–3 years of experience in merchandising or a visual role.
1–2 years of experience in home‑related design or visual merchandising (specialty retail preferred).
Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
Physical Requirements
Must be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Full‑time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.
Part‑time flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regular shifts on the weekend and two during the week.
Education College degree preferred or equivalent job experience.
