BindHQ
CEO @ BindHQ | Empowering E&S Insurance Firms
Company
BindHQ is a modern, cloud-based agency operating system for specialty insurance. We serve MGAs, MGUs, and Wholesalers operating in specialty and E&S lines. Customers use BindHQ to automate high-friction workflows, reduce operating costs, and continuously evolve through frequent product updates.
We are building modern, AI-first infrastructure for P&C insurance operators.
Role Overview This role exists to embed product expertise directly into customer reality.
As a Customer Product Lead, you are the connective tissue between:
Real-world P&C insurance operations
The BindHQ product surface
Product and Engineering decision-making
You shape how the product is understood, adopted, and evolved in the field.
This is not a Customer Success Manager role. You are not responsible for ticket throughput, account health scores, or scripted lifecycle motions.
You are measured by:
Whether customers can successfully execute real insurance workflows
Whether product teams receive clear, high-quality signal from the field
Whether BindHQ’s product surface becomes simpler, sharper, and more opinionated over time
Responsibilities Product and Solution Leadership
Become a deep subject-matter expert on the BindHQ platform, its configuration models, and workflow patterns
Lead product demos, system walk-throughs, and design conversations with operators and executives
Act as a solution authority customers and internal teams rely on for how the system should be used
Work directly with MGAs, MGUs, Wholesalers, and carriers to understand real operational needs
Translate messy insurance reality into:
Clear product requirements
Configuration standards
Concrete guidance for Product and Engineering
Configuration or modeling issues
Workflow or expectation mismatches
Product Signal and Feedback Loops
Identify recurring friction across submissions, endorsements, renewals, reporting, and accounting flows
Convert qualitative feedback and behavioral patterns into structured product insight
Influence roadmap discussions by surfacing tradeoffs, not just feature requests
Partner closely with Product and UX to improve defaults, usability, and system design
Enablement and Adoption Design
Design scalable onboarding and adoption patterns rooted in product understanding, not checklists
Create internal and external artifacts that clarify how the system works and why
Raise product fluency across customers, Sales, and internal teams
AI-First Operating Model
Use AI daily to:
Synthesize customer conversations and usage data
Draft product briefs, enablement materials, and internal documentation
Detect patterns across accounts
Apply human judgment to decide what matters, what is noise, and what should change
What Success Looks Like
Customers can execute complex P&C workflows confidently without ongoing hand-holding
Product conversations shift from “can the system do this?” to “what is the best pattern?”
Product and Engineering trust your framing of customer reality
Sales relies on you as a product authority, not a support layer
The BindHQ product becomes clearer and more opinionated because of your input
Who You Are Insurance Domain Expertise (Required)
You have deep familiarity with P&C insurance operations, such as:
MGA or MGU operations
Wholesale brokerage workflows
Carrier underwriting or operations roles
Why insurance data is messy
Why edge cases are normal
Where operational and regulatory risk actually lives
Professional Background
Experience in product-adjacent, solutions, or domain-heavy roles (CS, PM, SE, Ops, or similar)
Comfortable working with complex systems (AMS, PAS, ERP, CRM)
Able to reason about workflows, configuration, and tradeoffs, not just features
Clear communicator who can translate complexity into usable systems
Mindset (Non-Negotiable)
Strong opinions, loosely held
Comfortable operating without a playbook
Enjoy turning ambiguity into structure
Use AI as a thinking and execution partner
Care deeply about product craft and customer experience
What This Is Not
Account management
A renewal-focused role
A junior PM role
Signals You’ll Thrive Here
You’ve been frustrated by legacy insurance platforms
You’ve tried to fix workflows, not just document them
You naturally think in systems and patterns
You enjoy being both customer-facing and product-embedded
